Each application, whether Windows or Web, contains all the states in which the carrier does business for a particular insurance line and all the rate-sets for each of those states.
Combining all the states and all the rate-sets in a single software yields greater efficiency and significant development cost savings.
How it works:
State: An agency code tells the software in which state or states the agency is authorized to do business, and makes only those states available at run time. Company personnel have access to all states.
Rate-set: When the user enters the Policy Effective Date, the software automatically selects the correct rate-set for that state and loads it into its rating engine.
